What to Expect During a Home Inspection

what to expect during a house inspection, house inspections vancouver

A client wants to know everything they can about a home before they purchase it. The expectation is that a home inspector will help the client to understand the home including any issues.

This post will help you understand what to expect during a home inspection.

What to Expect During a Home Inspection

The three ways an inspector can relay this knowledge are: face to face, a written report in easy to understand language & answering questions completely.

  1. First, the home inspector meets with the client to do a walk through of the home. The inspector will examine each part of the house step by step and explain things to the client in wording that the client can understand.
  2. Second, the inspector will deliver a written report in easily understood text with clear photos. The client will read through the report. Each part of the report will cover individual parts of the house with relative photos. The client can keep the report on their computer to refer to any time they wish.
  3. Lastly, the home inspector will answer any questions the client may have completely and in a cordial manner. It is important that the home inspector listens to the client, understands their concerns and addresses these concerns knowledgeably. At ABC Home Inspections in Vancouver, we work very hard on these three steps, making sure the client understands everything.

A professional home inspector will make their best effort to get to know the home buyer and the home before any home purchase deal occurs.
